Sunlit Dunes

This photo was taken on another chilly day here along the Florida panhandle. As the sun rose it cast this wonderful warm light on the dunes and I just knew I had to try and capture the warm feeling it gave me.

On The Edge Of The Storm

Since it was raining pretty good, I wasn't going to go out for sunrise this morning. However, as my old drill sergeant once said, "sleep is overrated" I decided to get up and go. I was glad I did since I was rewarded with this beautiful rainbow as the storm began to pass on.

The Moulton Barn

On a recent trip out to Grand Teton National Park I had to go over to Mormon Row and try to get an image of the famous Moulton Barn. The sunrise was nothing special but I really did like the warm morning sun over the top of the mountains and the barn.

Stolen And Beached

Although a somewhat sad scene since this sailboat was stolen roughly 35 mils east of here and then beached and abandoned, I really liked the dramatic sky and the waves as they framed this sailboat.

A Man, His Boat And His Dog

I was out at Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park in Pennsylvania on fall afternoon when I saw this sailboat framed between the trees on the shore with a beautiful backdrop of Western Pennsylvania Foliage and had to capture the moment.

Davis Hollow Marina

A magnificent sugar maple tree in all of it's fall glory and blanket of it's fallen leaves framed the marina for me on this brilliant fall day in Western Pennsylvania.

Glade Mill In THe Fall

One of the most photographed scenes in West Virginia is the old mill at Babcock State Park. I was lucky enough to be there when the foliage was approaching peak color and there was still some nice water flow in the creek.

Window Through the Dunes

One warm winter evening I was out along the beach and as sunset approached I saw this nice little window through the dunes and I just sat and enjoyed the moment.

Cold January Sunrise

I was out on the beach on a cold 35 degree January morning and as the sun rose it cast some amazing warm light along the shore. The photo certainly belies the cold temperature of the day.

Shaped By The Wind

One evening while walking along the Sound here on the panhandle, I came upon this amazing scene of a tree shaped by the wind and backlit by a nice warm sunset.

Sand And Shadows

Yesterday, I went over to the beach with a friend of mine to take in the sunset. While I was walking about the dunes, I became captivated by this little scene. I love how the warm light of the setting sun interacted with the curvature of the sand and created a wonderful mixture of shadows and light leading out to the Gulf.

Sunset In The Park

Sunset looked like it may be pretty good last night so I ran across the street to our little park here in Navarre to see what I could capture. I liked this one, I like the color in the park and the light from the lamp post shining on the trees and just the overall contrast of the scene.
